Make Your Cursor JUMP!

If you’re like me you and you work off a desktop and laptop at the same time then you need to read this article.

My workstation consists of a dual monitor Windows desktop and my 15 inch apple powerbook. It used to be a pain in the ass to constantly have to move my hands from my windows keyboard and mouse to my laptop and back all day long as I work with each machine. A while back I discovered a gem of a program called Synergy 2 and it eliminates this problem remarkably well.

Synergy 2 is an open source program that lets you create a Virtual Keyboard Mouse switch between physically separate machines and its compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. So imagine if you will having a Windows machine and Mac machine on your desk side by side. Synergy will let your mouse "jump" from Monitor to Monitor or OS to OS. It also allows for copy and pasting of text between machines too.
