Apollo is now on Adobe Labs

Hey good news Adobe Apollo has hit the Adobe Labs. If you are into building rich internet application via Flash , Flex or Ajax then Apollo is up your alley. I'll be posting some of my own Apollo example by the end of the week.

Comments
Can you compile air files without the flex add-on? I am on a MAC and looking at how to create Apollo apps without Flex.

Thanks

Cub,

By Flex add on I’m going to assume for a moment you mean the Apollo extensions for Flex Builder. The answer is yes, to do this you will need to download the Apollo SDK and the Apollo Runtime. If you download the current Alpha 1 Apollo documentation from the Adobe Labs look for the section called "Create your first HTML-based Apollo application" , this article will explain how you set up your Apollo application descriptor file, application HTML page. Testing and packaging the application using the Apollo Debug Launcher (ADL) and Apollo Developer Tool (ADT) are also described in the article.

That said the Apollo Alpha is not yet feature rich for HTML/JavaScript application and Adobe has said future builds will roll out more features.

BTW I develop on a Macbook Pro and it all works great so far.
