That is a great article. But, I disagree with the quote you have up. Obviosly it's a matter of opinion but I know so much more than I did three years ago and all I see are more and more possibilities and more and more questions that need to be researched / answered.

An expert, using the 'message' of the 'clueless manifesto' is the person who claims to know it all.

;) The fact that you are talking about things to learn means you aren't the expert yet.

I thought it was a great read, and a good reminder that you (where youy is anyone) need to be open to possibilities, without being too quick to jump to the "we can't do that" solution.

Ben the quote up is really more of a generalization then fact of course. But if it is taken literally and after three years you see more possibilities and have more questions, well then you havn't become an "expert" yet.

The real moral here is not to become an "expert". Here is a great example of how not being an expert can be good. Take a look at my post "Birth of a Flex Project" http://ryanfavro.newmediateam.com/blog/index.cfm/2... The site is to be an online retail store for disposable wrist bands. Well i'm not a wristband guy and so its safe to say i'm not an expert on wristbands. When I showed the client the initial design they where very surprised to see that I chose to display the wristbands vertically. Apparently all the other sites that sell wristbands display their products horizontally. I told them I thought thouht it was silly to show them anyway but vertical, and rationalized it by asking "How does Rolex show a wristwatch ?" Suddenly it made perfect sense to them and they loved it.
